The brewers and Mets will face off on Thursday night, with wild card decider after the Royals, Padres and Tigers all made their way into the Division Series.
Brewers vs Mets Wild Card Decider
Milwaukee and New York will be in the decisive game this week in the MLB Wildcard round after failing to separate the sides in the first two playoff games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The first game ended 8-4 against the Mets, with the second matchup being a similar storyline, with the Brewers continuing their playoffs with a 5-3 victory at Milwaukee.
In other games in the wildcard round, there is no need to decide on a third game as the Royals, Padres and Tigers advance as they score both the first two games.
The brewers looked all tied up in Game 1 on Tuesday night, but after handing out five runs and two outs in five innings, they had to go on a second straight win to advance to the division series.
Things weren’t that easy for the Brewers, who were chasing the Mets on one three-run run heading into five innings on Thursday.
Milwaukee didn’t lie down easily on Wednesday, and three runs in the final innings were enough to force Game 3 on Thursday night.
The winner of Game 3 will face the Phillies in the Division Series, which begins on Saturday afternoon.
