On July 12, 2025, Browns rookie RB Quinshon Judkins was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence and battery charging.

Judkins reportedly was in the car with the woman and attacked her in the jaw/lip area. According to the arrest report, the incident occurred five days ago, but no calls were made until the 12th. Recently, the Broward State Attorney’s Office determined that Judkins would not be charged on a formal misdemeanor battery charge.

When will Quinshon Judkins officially join the Browns?

On the 36th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Browns chose RB Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State. Unfortunately, Yudkins has come across legal trouble this offseason. The 21-year-old was arrested on July 12 for misdemeanor domestic violence and battery charging in Fort Lauderdale. According to the arrest report, Judkins got mad after reading a text message from his family. At that time, he is said to have attacked the victim in the jaw/lip area.

However, Judkins was arrested on July 12th and was suspected of the incident five days ago. This delay will be deemed “problem” by the Broward State Attorney’s Office. They said the victim had multiple times that there was no accused and had multiple opportunities to make calls. Furthermore, the incident has not been recorded and there are no independent witnesses.

For these reasons, the Broward State Attorney’s Office was unable to convict Judkins and said his case would be dismissed. This is a huge thing for rookie runners who remain the only unsigned draft pick in the 2025 class. Quinshon Judkins has not yet practiced with his teammates at training camp. Cleveland wants to see talented RBs join the field.

The Browns will open the 2025 season at home, opening the Cincinnati Bengals in week one. Will Rookie RB be available for that game? NFL insider Mike Florio recently reported that the NFL could “still” stop Quinshon Judkins. He described the incident that Ezekiel Elliott was not arrested a few years ago, but still offered a six-game suspension from the league. Is the same thing available for Quinshon Judkins?
