As a competitor to the Imperial competitor, Strong Hold Crusaderand the wider base franchise has been dormant for many years. This has begun to change thanks to a new and decisive edition that updates and streamlines the latest hardware strategic classics. Just a few days after the launch, Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition is officially a Steam hit. The game was opened to strong players count and rave reviews.

Stronghold Crusader: The highest ever peak of nearly 14,000 players since the launch of Definitive Edition on July 15th, and a 91% approval rating (meaning that there is a “very positive” rating on Steam). These numbers prove that the throwback base Crusader has legs. In a way, it’s a classic RTS game. Control your army, gather resources, and build your bases in real time. The construction of the castle is what sets the base crusades apart. This game is a smart mix of city buildings and tactical battles. How you build a fortress and how you employ an army will determine whether you can take victory.

The new definitive version is not just a renovation. It comes with many new features. In the new cooperative mode, you and up to 8 friends can compete with AI Lords. It also adds eight unit types, four new AI-controlled lords, and even a new campaign. There may be a lot of updates coming, but first you will be adding a new economic campaign, a new AI Lord and three new maps.

You can purchase Sterghold Crusader on Steam for a $17.99 launch discount through July 29th. Please check here.
