There are now plenty of Stardew Valley-style games. There’s Witchbrook, where the magical Halloween is working on this genre. Now it’s a creepy Lovecraft RPG Life Sim Hybrid that has absolutely won a spot on my wish list. But of course, what we all await is Haunted ChocolatierThe next game of Life Sim Pioneer and Stardew creator Eric ‘Incernepape’ Barone. I’ve seen some screenshots and know that it’s more combat-driven than its predecessor, but now I know the rough size of the map.
With the release date of the ghostly Chocolatier nowhere visible, most of us are simply glued to our Cheringape X account, hoping for something new. Today, Wednesday, June 11th, is that lucky day, as the new post talks a little more about the world of Haunted Chocolatier, particularly the size when compared to its upcoming predecessors of Life Game.
Posting is easy. “The ghostly chocolatier world is bigger than Stardew Valley,” 10k likes in the 25 minutes after the post was released! has been acquired. According to the Stardew Valley Wiki, the standard farm map has 3,427 cultivated tiles and 235 constructable tiles, which are a bit lower for locations like Riverside Farm and Wilderness Farm (four corner farms are the second largest).
Of course, we’ve seen various Stardew Valley Mods expand in different locations, but we can assume that Haunted Chocolatier has more than 3,662 tiles, assuming that Cencepape refers to Stardew’s basemap.
This post is Incernectape’s final X-comment, dating back to May 16th, and comes out almost from nowhere. Does this mean you’re approaching getting a release window? Well, considering that summer Game Fest has arrived and left, Gamescom will feel like the most likely candidate. But now is a great time for games like Stardew Valley, and the aforementioned hype around the witches makes you look at Neverway for the first time on Dever Day. Stardew fans will stand up and eat well for the next few years.
