The Ministry of Education opened an office at Columbia University for civil rights investigations in early February.
The Department of Education said on June 4 that Columbia University had not met the accreditation standards amid widespread discrimination allegations against Jewish students on campus due to violating federal civil rights laws.
In a press release Wednesday, the department notified Columbia that it had violated Title VI, a federal civil rights law, following an investigation by the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) that began in early February.
