‘Erupcja’ starring Charli XCX acquired for UK-Ireland cinema release

Exclusive: Vertigo Releasing has acquired UK and Irish distribution rights to Pete Ohs. eruption Starring Charli XCX.

The distributor plans to release the film in theaters in spring 2026.

The film is produced by Luke Arreguin, Josh Godfrey, Harris, Ohs, and XCX for Forever Holiday, Spartan Media Acquisitions, and bb² Production.

It made its world premiere as a featured title at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, and will be screened at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia in December.

“Pete and the team have brought so much life to this wonderfully charming Warsaw story with two captivating central performances from Charlie and Lena,” said Vertigo Releasing’s Acquisitions and Sales Manager Taylor Haldane.

XCX will soon appear in Julia Jackman’s work 100 nights of heroesshe photographed shortly after eruptionand Vue Lumiere will release it in the UK and Ireland.
