When I say we’ve finished with a multiplayer shooter, I think I’ll talk for most people. In 2024, we saw the ascending and descent titans like Concord and Xdefiant, and in 2025 newcomers like Fragpunk produced decent dents, but interest in FPS games appears to be at the lowest ever. input FBC FireAlan Wake and Max Payne Developer Remedy Entertainment’s strange new cooperative shooter. Set in a world of chaotic controls, it is certainly the most interesting take of this genre I’ve seen for quite some time, and now it has a release date.
On paper, FBC Firebreak looks like another cooperative FPS game. Embark on various 3-player PVE missions called “Jobs”, defeat monsters, upgrade your gear, and do everything again. Channeling the chaos of games like Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 with paper, paper fires sounds like another entry in an already overcrowded genre.
But this is a cure, and this is the oldest home. The creature you are fighting is not your running monster. They are fantastic action adventure games from the developers, the horror we experienced in control. You need to dodge your enemies while fighting the elements that sporadically influence the outcome of your work and consistently throw wrenches even on the best planning plan.
Each job is divided into three different zones, and you need to clear the rooms for each room. Our trio will face monsters that appear to be made up of nasty notebooks. A nasty little yellow paper will stick to your visor and obscure your vision as you progress through its completely beige hideaway. You can claim it is nature fighting back on deforestation, or it is an absolute insanity. I’ll let you choose which one.
Standard weapons and weapons are not used either. An attractive world requires imaginative, if not slightly strange, equipment, and the trailer above shows you everything from what looks like a googan to more standard weapons. In short, a lot is happening. I’ve seen a significant share of extraterrestrial bugs across Heldy Birds and Space Marine, but I’ve never seen anything like this.
Remedy confirmed that FBC Firebreak was released on Tuesday, June 17th, selling for $49.99/£39.99 for the base game and $59.99/£46.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Please note that the game does not have a Battle Pass system or auxiliary purchases. Instead, the request system allows you to earn a swath of cash in the game and drop it on cosmetics instead, like a heldy bar.
