About 317,000 federal employees will be cut this year as the Trump administration focuses on downsizing the government, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) announced in a Nov. 21 post.
OMB Director Scott Cooper said the administration had set a goal of cutting four jobs for every new hire and exceeded that goal.
