Exclusive: This year’s American Film Institute (AFI) European Union Film Showcase opens with Paulo Sorrentino’s Italian drama grace Featuring Mona Fastvold’s British historical drama Ang Lee’s will as a closing night attraction.
The event, now in its 38th year, will be held from December 3rd to December 21st at AFI’s theater in Silver Spring, Maryland, and will feature a total of 56 films representing all 27 countries of the European Union. The total includes 18 films submitted to this year’s international film Oscars and eight films that premiered in the United States.
