The company’s major developments have announced that Ford will halt the shipment of certain vehicles to China amid the brewing trade war with the US. In fact, automakers have stopped shipping F-150s and other models to the country as tensions between the two countries grow.
The arrival of tariff plans for the US liberation day has seen trade war concerns continue in recent weeks. Additionally, Ford’s decision to halt freight came the day after the company issued a memo warning that it would consider raising prices if an increase in import duties in both countries remained.

Other vehicles to China amid retaliation tariffs suspended F-150 shipments
In recent weeks, tensions between the US and China have reached a fever pitch. The White House announced the country faces tariffs as high as 245%, claiming the move was made to combat the country’s “retaliation action.” In return, the United States was hit by an increase in import taxes amid the rise in the tariff war.
Today, these actions are beginning to have a major impact on many companies around the world. In fact, Ford announced that certain vehicles have been halted in China amid the surge in the US trade war. Specifically, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, they have stopped shipping F-150 Raptors, Mustangs and Bronco SUVs.

The decision came as Chinese officials raised their retaliation obligations for US imports to 150%. Sources said the suspension of shipments was Ford’s best efforts to deal with it. Additionally, the Michigan-based automaker has pointed out that prices are likely to rise in early July. Specifically, these increases occur if the tariffs are not resolved.
“Customers have many options and plenty of stock to choose from until June 2nd. The tariff situation is dynamic and we will continue to assess the potential impact of tariff actions,” a Ford spokesperson said.
JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon was one of the individuals seeking an end to the conflict. Certainly, he urged the Trump administration to engage with China. Otherwise, he expressed fear that a trade war could cause irreparable damage to the country and its perceptions.
