Former Pulse Film executives Marisa Clifford and Devad Calvassion have officially announced Magna Studios, a production company focusing on film, documentary, brand and musical content.
Magna has been operating quietly for over a year, but has produced the official documentary for the Oasis Reunion tour. It also co-produced and raised co-finance for the first scripted feature, Oscar Hudson. Straight circleis sold by Global Constellation and offers global campaigns to brands such as Apple, Nike, Beats, Spotify and more.
Pulse Films co-founder Clifford and former global president Karbassioun are co-CEOS of Magna Studios and former Pulse executive James Sorton are also part of the leadership team as the managing director of the commercial.
Magna is backed by former Pulse Films co-founder Thomas Bensky’s Venture Lumina capital and operates in Hubs in London, New York and Los Angeles.
Magna’s senior team is concluded by non-fiction SVP Olly Calleja. Non-fiction, creative director, Luimore. Sam Bridger, director of music documentary. Tim O’Shea, group director of Commercial & Business Affairs.
That talent roster includes filmmakers Brady Corbett, Oscar Hudson, James Marsh, Sam Pilling, Goldstein & Daly, Julian & Quentin, Haley Anderson, Jeff Tremaine, Asif Kapadia and Ariel Fisher.
