Donald Medvedev threatened “World War II” after Donald Trump criticized his counterpart Vladimir Putin for saying he was “playing with fire” in his actions in Ukraine.

The United States responds to Medvedev’s threat, branding often inflammatory Russian officials as reckless, and the war of words between the two global forces continues to escalate.

However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov proposed to continue consultations on May 16, once again in Istanbul, in June 2nd. The British News Outlet Independent said it started over the weekend when Trump called Putin “crazy” after ordering the biggest air attack on Ukraine with 350 missiles and drones. Trump then doubled, and his Russian counterpart said, “What I didn’t realize is that if it wasn’t for me, there would have already been a lot of bad things going on in Russia.

“I hope Trump understands this.”

Medvedev, the president of Russia from 2008 to 2012 and now a top security officer, responded to Trump’s true social post x’s post“I know it’s really bad – World War II. I hope Trump understands this!”

Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, later weighed in Via Posts x.

“Crying the fear of World War II is an unfortunate and reckless comment by @medvedevrussiae and is not worthy of the power of the world,” Kellogg said. “President Trump @Potus is working to stop this war and end the murders. We are waiting for the receipt of the RU memo (term term sheet) you promised a week ago. Turn off the fire now.”

Just a day ago, after Trump’s initial comment that Putin had become “crazy,” Lavroff suggested that the US leader was “someone who wants results” but “gets emotional.”

“Absolutely reckless behaviour”

“President Trump is a man who wants to see results,” Lavrov said at a press conference with Turkish counterpart, Khakan Fidan. “He sees some Europeans working to hamper his efforts (on peace reconciliation), and pushes Ukraine into absolutely reckless actions.”

It is unclear whether he refers to German Prime Minister Friedrich Merz’s announcement of an agreement to co-produce Ukrainian long-range weapons systems. The statement came a day after Europe and the US removed restrictions on Ukraine’s ability to use long-range missiles.

It could lead to World War II

Last November, a senior Russian lawmaker threatened that President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to infiltrate Russian territory with ATACMS missiles could lead to World War II and the loss of the Ukrainian state. It has been reported.

New terms with Kiev in Istanbul on June 2nd are discussing to end the war in Ukraine. I said on wednesday. He hopes that he is excluded from NATO as well as Ukraine, George, Moldova and other former Soviet republics.

Russia also hopes that Ukraine is neutral, with some Western sanctions lifted, resolving the issue of sovereign assets in the West, and protecting Ukrainian Russian speakers, Reuters added.

A Russian source told Reuters he would try to demonstrate that “the tomorrow of peace will be even more painful” to Ukrainians and Europeans through military victory if Putin realizes he cannot reach the peace deal on his terms.
