Four years after the bill, WR Gabe Davis signed with Jaguar more than 2024. Jacksonville gave him a three-year, $39 million contract. The deal included a $24 million Guarenteed.

After a disappointing first season with the Jaguar, the team released Davis this offseason. The 26-year-old is a free agent this offseason. NFL insider Jordan Schultz said Gabe Davis met with the Steelers on Tuesday, and will meet with Buffalo this week. Could a reunion with Buffalo be in store for Davis?

Will Gabe Davis sign the team before the 2025 season?

In 2024, Jaguars WR Gabe Davis played in 10 of his team’s 17 games, starting nine times. He missed the final six games of the season due to Meniscus’ injury. Davis finished the season with 20 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns. With that disappointing production, the team decided to say goodbye to Gabe Davis this offseason. It was only 14 months after they signed him a three-year contract.

Gabe Davis reportedly met with the Steelers earlier this offseason. However, Pittsburgh was concerned about a knee injury. On Tuesday, August 19th, the 26-year-old made a follow-up visit with the Steelers. This was first reported by NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. He also said Davis will meet the Buffalo Bills this week.

Along with the Bills and Steelers, Davis, given to him, reportedly met the Saints, Giants and 49ers. If he’s healthy, reunion with Buffalo makes sense to Davis. His most productive season in the NFL came with Joshu Allen of Buffalo. Davis scored a career-high 48 catches in 2022 for 836 yards. In his time with the Bills, Davis received at least six touchdowns per season.

Pittsburgh is another legitimate option for Gabe Davis in 2025. DK Metcalf is the Steelers WR1. If he can return to his production level from 2023, Davis could easily become Pittsburgh’s WR2. At his best, Gabe Davis is an explosive big-play WR. What team will Davis get the chance ahead of the 2025 season? We’re rounding the corner for the first week.
