Exclusive: Juno Films has acquired all North American rights to the Galway Film Fleadh award-winning film horseshoe Directed by Edwin Mullane and Adam O’Keeffe.
The distributor plans to release the comedy family drama in spring 2026, about four estranged brothers returning to their crumbling family home in the west of Ireland to overcome inheritance, grief, and long-buried grudges and secrets.
horseshoe It won the Best Irish First Feature Award at the Galway Film Freed and starred Carolyn Bracken, Lalor Roddy, John Connors, Mary Murray, Jed Murray, Neil Fleming, Eric O’Brien and Caroline Harvey.
Mullane, O’Keeffe and Mo O’Connell produced the film for Wavewalker Films and Three Hot Whiskeys Films, with support from Screen Ireland, Sligo County Council and Creative Heartland.
“Edwin and Adam have delivered a family drama filled with heartbreak, conflict, long-standing grudges and volcanic violence,” said Vonda Elizabeth, CEO of Juno Films. “When I first saw this film, I felt like I was familiar with a family whose bonds are tenuous, overshadowed by trauma and rife with secrets, but tempered and ultimately triumphant by an undercurrent of empathy and loyalty. The film reminds viewers that it is the bonds of kinship, not material heritage, that matter most.”
