Want to know about the new Genshin Impact character? With each new update, there is usually at least one brand new playable character introduced on the roster. Usually, it appears in an event banner with increased drop rates, including one 5-star and three 4-star characters.
We know which characters may appear in the next Genshin Impact Banners, but some of the characters featured in this guide may not be playable at the moment, but you can find them in Genshin Impact. It also includes characters rumored to be involved in free PC games, but it is possible that they don’t have an in-game model yet. Until Hoyoverse says that it’s not the case, this information is not official, but there’s a summary of all the rumours and speculations at the moment.
The new and upcoming Genshin Impact characters are:
Genshin Impact 5.7 characters

Skirk debuted with Genshin Impact 5.7 as a Cryo DPS with a strong elemental burst. This powerful swordsman lives in Deepby and taught Tartagulia the foul legacy combat skills after he fell into her realm. The traveler first met her during his battle with the all-eating Narwal.
Dahlia
Dahlia, the deacon of the Fabonius Church, was certainly a long time ago when she was first introduced in the traveler’s time with Rosalia and Barbara in Mondstadt. We are planning to return to Mondstadt at 5.6, so now is the perfect time for him to make his debut.
Future Genshin Impact characters
Ineffa
INEFFA has been confirmed as the next five-star electro character in Genshin Impact 5.8 Livestream, and she appears to be the first playable robot in the game. All of her components are sourced from areas around the world of Genshin Impact. As a cyborg maid using Polearm, Ineffa turns his arm into a vacuum that he uses to attack enemies. She also has access to a robot with a large pixel art screen that can be used as a rocket during elemental bursts.
She was officially revealed on June 23rd on her Genshin Impact X account. Ineffa is approached by the English language Angelina Danielle Cama and the Japanese language Nakajima Megumi.
Rauma
I was teased on Genshin Impact 5.8 LiveStream and it was the first time I saw one of my new characters come to the next big update. Based on the description in the Nod-Krai preview video, her name is Lauma and she appears to be speaking to the English language Alexandra Guelff and Japanese language Kuwashima Houko. Eagle Eyed viewers have discovered she wields the dendro element, and according to the known Genshin Leaker HXG, she is said to be released later in the 6.0 update.

One of the new characters teased at the end of Genshin Impact 5.8 Livestream, this short female character is rumoured to be known as Aino. Aino is said to be the creator of Ineffa, and apart from her small height and appearance, there is little else known about her.

Barca, said to be the strongest man in Mondstadt, is the grand Master and Knight of Boreas, a subsection of the Order of Fabonius. Like most upcoming Genshin Impact characters, we don’t know when Varka might become available. Varka is referenced by several characters in the course of the Genshin Impact story, but there is no in-game model. He is currently on the expedition, and Jean is in charge of the Order of Fabonius.
Daisleif
Bough Keeper’s Daisleif was officially announced by Hoyoverse at the 2020 Tokyo Game Show, but no release date is attached. His voice actor has been announced, but he will not show when he will arrive. Daisleif is from Khaenri’ah, an underground area that is not part of Teyvat itself. So you will probably meet someday in the future when you explore his hometown to Daisleif.
