WASHINGTON – The House of Representatives passed a $831.5 billion defense budget bill with 221-209 votes on early July 18th, but was not entirely complete, mainly along the party path.

HR 4016, the Department of Defense Appropriations for 2026, will fund U.S. defense spending until September 30, 2026, with certain allocations extended for 2027, 2028 and 2030. The bill covers the costs of new naval vessels, next-generation aircraft, space capabilities, and President Donald Trump’s “Golden Dome” defense program.
