On September 17, the House of Representatives rejected a bid to condemn Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for comments she made about the conservative and influential Charlie Kirk following the assassination.

The rebuke move brought about by Rep. Nancy Mace (Rs.C.) would have stripped Omar of her duties on the Education and Labor Force Committee and the Budget Committee.
