Hunger in Gaza Strip Classified as Famine, Global Body Says

According to an integrated food security stage (IPC), food shortages in the Gaza Strip have reached levels of hunger.

The hunger condition indicates at least 20% of the population of at least 20% of the population, acute malnutrition due to deaths of two adults or four child deaths due to starvation, and two adults or four children deaths, according to IPC standards.
