I had a hard time with the release, but the early access cooperative action game There’s no more room in hell I’m always impressed with every new update. This is an update of 0.5.0. So, while the game has a long way to go before primetime ready for the game, this patch represents a major advancement that advances, adding new maps, character customizations, new weapons and new enemy types. If you like horror cooperative games like Left 4 Dead and The Killing Floor and were on the fence, it might be worth giving more space in the Hell 2 shot.
The new map will be called Brooklyn. This is where I returned from the first game. The map starts with an unsuccessful extraction from NYC and can pass through city streets, subway tunnels and sewers. There are also multiple exit states and scenarios to promote regenerability. This update adds a training level known as the CRC Training Facility. Here you can learn ropes using all the weapons in the game at the shooting range and gain experience with puzzles, dangers, and zombie types you will encounter on real levels. These changes take the path to getting into the best cooperative game, as the space in Hell 2 doesn’t feel any more complete.
There are many other small changes too. More robust character customization means you can recrawl any of the game’s cosmetics. Currently, all items in the game are free and arrive for future content updates. For new things you can do, you can throw melee weapons and other objects, and provide another tool you can use when you’re desperate. The new weapon is the Gruber Mk VII, a small side arm with a silencer. Also, the new “Army” zombies are wearing military-grade armor and gear, making them difficult to defeat.
Until July 21st, you won’t be able to pick up your Hell 2 room on Steam with a $22.49 discount.
