In Las Vegas, House Republicans Tout New Budget Bill, No Taxes on Tips

House Republicans chose Las Vegas as the place to stage their first public field hearing touting the benefits of one big beautiful bill law, the 2026 federal budget, which was signed into law by President Donald Trump on July 4th.

Rep. Aaron Bean (R-Fla.) said the bill “born here” after the conversation between Trump and the server encouraged presidential candidates to support old ideas.
