This offseason, the 49ers wide receiver has been struggling to stay on the field. At least four players were injured prior to the 2025 season. These include Brandon Ayyuk, Juan Jennings, Jacob Coynegue, Jordan Watkins and Russell Gage. Additionally, WR Demarcus Robinson faces three-game suspension to start the year. The 49ers traded with the Chiefs on Wednesday as the WR core was exhausted.
Kansas City sent WR Skymoor and 2027 seven-round picks in exchange for the 2027 six-round picks. Moore was the second round pick by the Chiefs of the 2022 NFL Draft in Western Michigan. In 2024 he was injured after missing Kansas City’s final 11 games. Young WR has limited restrictions with the Chiefs, and will be getting a fresh start with the 49ers.

Skyy Moore will join a handful of healthy players and WRs to begin the 2025 season. The 49ers’ active WRs include Ricky Piersall, Terrique Owens, Isaiah Hodgins and Skymoor. It’s not ideal for the 49ers ahead of the season that starts around two weeks. The 49ers could potentially regain at least one player from an injury, but the team lacks star talent early on.
Expect to see Block’s pure overloaded Te George Kittle while the team waits for WRS to get healthy. Last season, Kittle had 78 catches and eight touchdowns for 1,106 yards. Additionally, the 49ers hope that running Christian McCaffrey will help them stay healthy for the 2025 season. He missed 13 games for San Francisco in 2024.
