When is Inzoi released? The “next-generation” life sim is the latest in Crafton stables, and the entire life sim community is in turmoil. The Korean company is best known for its like Pubg Battlegrounds and Dark and Darker, but this time there is a potential successor to the Sims series.
Inzoi joins Sims 4 competitors Paralib and Vivaland, and joins his efforts to free the giants who define the genre of EA from the throne, but appears to be impressive in a very different direction from his colleagues. Instead of endless customization and stylized dreamhouse, Inzoy aims to turn his head with the first and first photorealistic visuals of the life game. Do we have a Sims rival in our hands? Following the release of early access, including initial impressions and content roadmap, there’s everything you need to know about Inzoi.
Inzoi Release Date
Inzoi was released in Early Access on Friday, March 28th, 2025. According to a developer’s statement on the official Steam page, early access remains for “at least a year.” Inzoi is currently available on PC via Steam and will arrive on MacOS in August 2025.
Krafton has yet to officially confirm the release of the console, but it’s a safe bet that it will only be available if it arrives on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|s. The requirements of the Inzoi system are quite high given its light electoral visuals, and may not be suitable for budget PCs. Inzoi’s Denuvo has been removed from the Early Access build following community complaints.
Inzoi’s roadmap speeds up with all the latest updates, including future content, new features, DLC and more. Inzoi Steam Reviews has had an advantage since its release. Our own Inzoi early access impressions are called “Chaotic Evil Sims’ rivals” and “a homemade storytelling ship.”

Inzoi Guide
Now that Inzoi is now accessible early, there are a few important guides to help you get started with Life Sim.

Inzoi Gameplay
Inzoi made an outstanding appearance at Gamescom 2024 and took part in the handoff Inzoi preview, which outlined Krafton’s ambitions for the first Life Sim. Director Hyun Jun Kim has established an important pillar of the project.
The goal of Inzoi is to keep people happy and satisfied by paying attention to hunger, hygiene and other basic needs. However, as Sims fans know, this only damages the surface of Inzoy’s abilities. Open world games boast many homes, workplaces and other points of interest. Creating Zoi is just the beginning.
As prevalent in the Sims, many of the features of everyday life appear in the Inzoi gameplay trailers. Inzoi residents wiped out the broken glass, watered the houseplants, and accidentally set the oven on fire. They can also engage in their favorite hobbies, from playing musical instruments to painting and dancing.
Naturally, work is a part of life and there are many employment opportunities that your Zois aspires to. Whether it’s tapping on a computer in a high-rise office block, washing dishes behind a takeaway restaurant, or wiping the floors of a local convenience store. It’s even a quick glimpse of Zoi performing push-ups in the barracks while taking their excellent views.
Whether they are actually enjoy All of these tasks depend on their desires and personality, but Inzoy’s emotional mood system is a sure indicator either way. NPCs have over 300 personal combinations of values, preferences, and traits, all affecting their behavior.

Producer Hyungjun Kim spoke to Korean streamer Memolkim in an interview covering many of Inzoi’s upcoming gameplay features. He also revealed the “meta” elements that exist in the world of Life Sims. “The concept of Inzoi is that you can become a god,” explains Kim. “That’s why the world sits on its desk and works as an employee.”
Kim points out that Inzoy’s original map size needs to be reduced because it was “too big enough to play.” However, there is still plenty of space to explore and place the roots, and three cities are accessible early. This includes Bliss Bay, which is inspired by the Boardwalk and Santa Monica sun-soaked Americana.
These vast maps feature mechanisms familiar to classic Sim City fans. One such adjustable setting is the safety level of the city, which determines the level of crime that occurs in your city and the general social disruption. “This also reduces the success rate of relationships,” Kim explains. This is because the decline in social stability affects the mood of the population and the inherent trust in others.
If you want to create a cat utopia or introduce zebra into the mix, you can also adjust the cat population density. Yes, we’re a bit confused too, but this might suggest that we can expand our homes to include Inzoi pets as well.

Other features were then revealed in a new developer roadmap interview released on the official Inzoi YouTube channel. In it, Kjun Kim confirms that some of the features he gets from the official Discord “Wish List” section creates it in the game along with other features proposed in-house. People proposed by fans include working cars Kim says “not like (…) Grand Theft Auto,” but they climb into the car, drive wisely and say they have an accident.
In January 2025, Kim returned with more planned features. These include the use of facial capture to streamline the Create-A-ZOI experience, pet-related goodness, and a tutorial system for new players.

Customizing Inzoi text
Inzoi courted Krafton’s home market with an early gameplay trailer, and appears to showcase in-game activities tailored to Korean culture and lifestyles. While the gameplay seen so far has a wealth of East Asian representation, the 35 skin tone palette suggests a wider variety in the character creator suite.
As you can imagine, Inzoi’s character creators have a wealth of hairstyles, outfits and accessories to properly capture Zois’ unique personality. In a strange moment, the gameplay trailer displays a ZOI dressed up in the Joker. However, I think this is possible thanks to Inzoi’s extensive character and costume customization tools, rather than an official collaboration with DC Comics.
People of all ages appear in Inzoi, and we can control and interact with Zois, both babies, toddlers and elderly people. “Baby presented not only systematic challenges, but also philosophical challenges,” Kjun told Ken in an exclusive Inzoi interview.

Inzoi Build Mode
Inzoi’s build mode is very similar to Sims, offering an extensive catalog of items to build and serve Zoi’s homes. New walls, floors and windows are just a few clicks, allowing each room to be equipped with precise specifications.
“There is free mode as a base option,” Kim confirms. “If you keep shifts when moving objects, you can move the objects to other items if you want to and stack them.” This news is the cause of celebration for those who rely on Sims 4 cheats such as MoveObjects. Kim makes it clear that objects may become interoperable in Inzoi depending on their placement. “There were a lot of things I wanted to do with (Sims), but it’s always been very difficult,” Kim says.
However, Inzoi takes a step beyond the typical palette of preset colors and patterns by giving future interior designers the ability to generate AI images via in-game search prompts. Once developed, these images can be applied to decorative items such as bedspreads and photo frames, giving your home a truly personal touch. Memolkim asks if Krafton will sell AI-generated textures as DLC. “No, I won’t,” Kim replies. Krafton later said it was “built into the client” following the release of the demo.
It also allows you to mix and match different elements of a particular furniture, such as chair cushions and legs, providing diversification without the help of mods. If you’re not an interior decorator, don’t worry. Kim confirms that players in a hurry to reach the side of Inzoi’s life sim can choose from a selection of build presets to create a complete home with just the click of a button.
Inzoi cat
Of course, we’ll forget about Psykhet, the adorable cat that appears in both gameplay trailers. But we can see that this little bunch of cute fluff is more than just an Inzoi mascot.
“This cat is your boss,” Kim reveals. “You have to approve everything through the cat before you make any changes.” Psykhet seems to spend most of his time reclining on a desk across the boundaries of Inzoi’s world, but he appears to be appearing in the creators of the character and notifying Zois via the latest neighborhood development text (yes).
