Israel attacked Yemen’s Hooti rebels’ ports and facilities early Monday morning, with rebels responding with missile fires targeting Israel.
The IDF said it struck a port owned by Hodeida, Ras Isa, Salif and Houthi at the Ras Kanatib power plant.
“These ports are being used by the Hooty terrorist regime to transfer weapons from the Iranian regime, which is being employed to carry out terrorist operations against Israel and its allies,” an Israeli military spokesman argued.
Houthis admitted to the Israeli strike, but did not say how serious the damage was. Military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said their air defense forces “effectively controlled” the attack.
The attack was reportedly released in exchange by a Houtsis against Israel. Israeli forces said they tried to intercept the missile but appeared to have an impact. There were no immediate reports of victims.
The attack follows reports that a Liberian Formation vessel was fired on Sunday and forced its crew to abandon the vessel. Hausis is immediately suspected, and security companies say the bomb-carrying drone boat appears to have hit the ship after targeting small arms and hand-rena bullets.
Houthi Media reported on the attack but did not claim it.
