After winning the UFC welterweight title at UFC 315, what’s next for Jack Dela Maddarena?
The new 170-pound king has several options for the next battle, including a showdown with the pound-pound king Islam Makachev and a potential Beral Muhammad rematch.
After becoming the UFC welterweight champion, what will be next for Jack Della Madarena?
MMMA fans have questioned who Jack Della Madarena will fight next after the monumental victory at the UFC 315 main event over Beral Muhammad.
Anyone facing “JDM” in the next UFC contest, regardless of who the man is, will become a world-class fighter. He’s also the first time he asks, as he wins the UFC welterweight title, and the fighter is eagerly waiting for a shot at the new 170-pound king.
Della Maddalena defeated Belal Muhammad in five rounds by unanimous decision in an incredible fight. Now, UFC fans want to know who Australians will face next by the end of the year on his first title defense.
The new welterweight champion has the luxury of having many options in the future, as he is the king of crops and everyone is now the one chasing in the division.
Instead of being a hungry challenger, “JDM” is now the king of hunting with a large target on his back. Of course, there is also pressure and expectations.
But UFC president Dana White will certainly give Della Maddalena some options for her next fight. Some family names in the sports of MMA are then casting their names on hats to fight “JDM” but we’ll explain them next.
Jack Della Madalena’s Next Battle Options
There are two standout options when it comes to whom “JDM” can compete in the next UFC contest. Time indicates whether it is one of these two names, but they are the two most obvious choices for Australia’s first UFC welterweight title defense.
Islamic Makachev
After defeating Beral Muhammad in the UFC 315 main event, Jacques de La Maddarena called out the UFC lightweight champion and the pound pound Islamic Makhachev pound for the next fight.
At the same time, Makhachev joined social media following the victory of JDM and said he hopes to fight next to become a two-weight UFC champion. Shortly after Della Maddalena defeated Muhammad, Makhachev tweeted.

In a postwar interview with Della Madalena on the Octagon with Joe Rogan, he revealed that he would like to fight Makhachev next. Not only that, the Australian said he wanted to revenge on his fellow countryman Alexander Volkanovsky.
Volkanovski has been defeated twice by Makhachev in the UFC lightweight title, with “JDM” seeking revenge from his Australian brother.
You are not a Volk I will show you another level. Keep my belt clean https://t.co/gtplxcaxmy

Della Madalena told Joe Rogan that the fight against Maddalena was an open “beautiful challenge” and that he “will get it back for Volk.” What a battle!
It remains to be seen whether the battle between Jack Della Madarena vs Islamic Makachev is next made for the UFC welterweight title or whether the UFC is exploring other options for the new 170 pound King.
Belal Muhammad Rematch
Another main option that Jack Della Madalena has in her next fight is a rematch with Beral Muhammad, in addition to her confrontation with Islamic Makhachev.
Given how the fight between the pair progressed at Montreal’s UFC 315, the rematch doesn’t go beyond the realm of possibility. The fight was approaching, but not controversial. Needless to say, the fact was an absolute war in the contest.
Both men lined up and delivered it all for the fans. That’s certainly true. The second battle between Della Maddalena and Muhammad certainly has a plot considering how competitive and pulsating the first battle is.
These seem like the two most obvious options for Jack Della Madarena’s first UFC welterweight title defense by the end of the year.
