A federal judge in California on Wednesday rejected the Trump administration’s attempt to cancel more than $4 billion in federal funding for the state’s high-speed rail project between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

U.S. District Judge Dale Drozd in Sacramento rejected the Justice Department’s argument that the California High Speed ​​Rail Authority’s July lawsuit was filed in an improper venue and should have been filed in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims instead.
