Kennedy Says Senator Will Be Able to Pick a Member of CDC Vaccine Advisory Panel

Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La.) was the decisive vote for Kennedy.

Senators are promised to select new members of the panel advising the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Vaccines, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said June 11.

Before he voted decisively to confirm Kennedy earlier this year, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), a physician and chairman of the Senate Health Committee, said Kennedy had committed to him that he would “maintain the Conventions on Immunology Practices Committee on Practices for Maintaining Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
