Dricus du Plessis vs Khamzat Chimaev was officially announced last week as the main event of the UFC 319.

The pair are rumoured to have fought each other for quite some time, with last week’s confirmation now officially in Chicago on August 19th.

MMA fans seem to have wanted this fight for quite some time, and their hopes were given later this summer for an attractive UFC middleweight title showdown.

The pre-match accumulation has gained momentum as the fight took place within less than three months. This includes the fighters themselves who have already begun trading blows on social media.

The latest releases before and after online took place on Wednesday, May 21, with Khamzat Chimaev first humiliating Dricus du Plessis and his team, captioning them with a few emojis.

The photo shows the champion holding his four coaches and his 185 pound belt. Chimaev captions the photo with five donut emojis and a laughing face emoji, hinting that South Africa and his team are donuts.

When the pair meets in the middle of the Octagon at the UFC 319 main event on August 19th, there will be time to see if Chimeh’s humiliation back up inside the cage.

It is clear that there is no lost love between both Chimaev and Duplesis.

The pair can finally resolve the difference once when they clash in a truly epic UFC middleweight title fight on August 19th at United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Needless to say, there will be more going back and forth on social media between the pair from now onwards between the fight night.

It’s fair to say that both men are not big fans of others and whip little by little to reach each other in the octagon in just a few months.
