London Critics’ Circle Film Section elects new leadership team

Jane Crowther has been elected to chair the Circle Film Section of London Critics as part of the organization’s new look leadership team.

Crowther will take over from Rich Cline, who played the role for the past four years. Crowther is an experienced film journalist who was the editor of UK Film Magazine. Complete filmas well as editors of the film group at publisher Future.

She is currently an editor Real Hollywood Magazine.

The critics’ circle took over from Crowther and elected Guy Lodge as vice-chairman. Lodge is a British film critic Varietyand Home Entertainment Columnist observer.

Film critic and interviewer Linda Marlis took over from Karen Krizanovic and was elected Honorary Secretary.

“I am not underestimating the responsibility of the chair, especially in a climate that reduces the threat of film criticism and AI, but I want to move the circle forward as a useful resource.

“We hope we can continue to assure you that the film section of the critical circle is not only for our members, but also a community place.”

The critic’s circle was founded in 1913, and the sector covers film, music, theater and dance.
