The Minnesota Timberwolves can throw the Los Angeles Lakers out of the playoffs in Game 5 victory in Wednesday’s first round of Western Conference.

Lakers vs Timberwolves Game 5 Preview

The Lakers are back in Game 5 in a must-see clash with the Timberwolves as JJ Redick’s side expands the series and gives them a chance to fight.

Los Angeles dropped Game 1 at home and rebounded to take Game 2, but collapsed on the road in Games 3 and 4 as Minnesota reached California with a 3-1 lead and held all the aces.

Luka Doncic has started the postseason along LeBron James’ 26.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists, but it appears the Lakers can’t find any positive rhythm.

Following the blockbuster trade in February, after sending Don Sic to LA and Anthony Davis to Dallas, the Lakers improved significantly in the regular season and finished as the third seed, one loss away from the embarrassing early exit.

Young stud Anthony Edwards continued his best foot forward for the Timberwolves in the postseason, averaging 29.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists in the series.

To the naked eye, Minnesota simply wants more. They play hard with more tenacity and strength. Los Angeles is struggling to deal with it and appears to be shaking.

Most of the Lakers’ struggle took place in the fourth quarter, overtaking 105-69 from their opponents. Doncic and James are 37-12 totals from the fields for this period.

Los Angeles heads towards this as a 5.5-point favorite. If they don’t get past the line and book a ticket to Minnesota for Game 6, start drafting some apologies to Nico Harrison.
