Dozens of major news outlets, including Reuters, the Associated Press, DW and Al Jazeera, reported that a new Greek “extremist” group had alleged responsibility for the April 11 bombing of the victimless train company.

But one important issue with their reporting is that the self-defense of the revolutionary class did not insist on attack. Among the outlets of Reuters, the Associated Press, DW, ABC News, and Sky News, many other reputable news media, extremist groups released via Athens Indy Media report based on political statements Website.

The only mention of the attack is in the headline. It is very likely that this was written not by the group itself but by the left-anarchist news outlet. The reason behind this claim is that throughout the 5,000 words after the headline, the group never mentioned the date of the attack or explosion near the Hellenic Train Company.

Instead, the group mentions massive protests that they may have participated and helped organize. Two large gatherings took place on January 26th, 2025 and February 28th, 2025.

Not a bomb attack, but a massive protest

“On January 26, 2025 and February 28, 2025, hundreds of thousands are primarily responsible for the restructuring of murderous anti-workers and the Greek train government, a subsidiary of Italian monopoly Verrovi delo Stato, and 57 fellow citizens in the Febury 28, 2023 and 2023 textbooks.

On January 26th, thousands poured into Athens’ streets, demanding justice for the country’s worst train accident, including a head-on collision between freight and passenger trains. The demonstration was mostly peaceful.

They also said the violent protests on February 28, 2025 came into conflict with riot police firing tear gas, stun grenades and water volleys, and with artillery cannons at protesters throwing Athens gasoline bombs and crushed pavement stones.

These protests were also opposed to the conservative government’s perception of lack of accountability in the wake of the train disaster. But no one was injured. Police have detained more than 120 people. And the revolutionary class self-defense, in their statement, stated that the protests and clashes with the police were also demonstrations against the “war on American and Zionist Genocide in Palestine.”

Are co-sick people conflicted?

The group says they are “revolutionary movements” that require mass mobilization and “armed conflict.” The explosion near the train company is not confrontational. It’s more like a co-ill act, and it jibes with their rhetoric

Most media except the Associated Press claim that Greek police are investigating extremist groups, but it is also likely to be false as they have determined that there is no confirmation that it is true.

dw, Al Jazeraand ReutersAmong other things, the group mistakenly reported that they were saying they were behind the attack on the 2024 Ministry of Labor. However, the group will not mention 2024 or the ministry.

There is no confirmation from the Greek police

Reuters concluded the article, “The group said they dedicated both attacks to the Palestinians in the Gaza War.” The text actually says, “I devote these two actions to the Palestinians and their heroic resistance.” The two actions are apparently two protests that the group mentioned earlier this year.

The extremist group has confirmed a statement that both demonstrations are in solidarity with the struggles of the Palestinian people, particularly the Gaza people.

They also reported that Greek anti-terrorism police were investigating previously unknown extremist groups. Reuters too It has been reported Counterterrorism forces were investigating previously unknown guerrilla groups.

According to the April 13th AP Report, Police are following leads, including images of one or two individuals on security cameras and possible cell phone conversations. After emailing Greek police and searching for websites, press office portals and top Greek media outlets, atlasgazette was unable to confirm the AP claim.

However, an hour after the bomb explosion on April 11th, Greek police wrote x The Directorate General’s Office for Fighting Special Violent Crimes had conducted a preliminary investigation.
