What caused Malcolm Jamal Warner to die?

At the time of the incident, the lifeguard was not on duty. Local volunteer patrols have been reassigned due to lack of resources, and the beaches are known for their dangerous rip currents.

In its first statement, the Costa Rican Red Cross said “two people were dragged by the water on the beach,” and by the time paramedics arrived both individuals had left the water. The second person who was treated at the scene was reported to be in danger after being rescued.

Warner has one child, an 8-year-old daughter, and is reportedly with him in a tragic incident in Costa Rica. According to Elbers Leonboth Warner and his daughter, the director of the Tourism Police Department in the Atlantic region of Costa Rica, were caught up in a powerful rift while swimming on July 20th.
