As a strategist main focus, I’m nervous. Marvel Rival Season 2. The Netease game removed the balance changes that occur along with all the new content, and the healers were given an actual mixed bag. There are some lovely buffs hidden here, but overall I’m worried that Nerf will give them all the open seasons of diving characters, especially our favorite healers.
I start with the good ones. The release date for Marvel Rivals Season 2 is around the corner and is absolutely stacked. We are based on new maps based on Krakoa: Emma Frost and Ultron, as well as the stunning Hellfire Gala-themed cosmetics. However, the positivity of multiplayer games begins to escape when you see the change in the balance of strategists.
Adam Warlock is the first healer on the firing line as Netease Games says it reduces the frequency of Marvel Rivals’ capabilities. His ULT revives his teammates with a flat HP recovery of 30% rather than 100 health (which is suitable for bulky tanks), but his other changes aren’t that good. Warlock’s soul bond cooldown ranges from 30 to 40 seconds, and the ability to share damage among allies is not very effective.
Loki’s regeneration domain ability increases the cooldown from 25 seconds to 30 seconds, making it difficult for one of the game’s best healers to protect their teammates from approaching attacks. That’s not all, as the invisible female shield has gone from 300 health to 250, and Mantis’ health pool has also decreased from 275 to 250. That being said, Mantis is able to stack her healing flowers and alliance inspirational abilities for up to 16 seconds, which is a rather big trade-off.
Rocket Raccoon is quite large and has a very mixed change. His ultimate reduces that damage boost to just 25%, but nearby allies earn 100 seconds of bonus health (capping at 150). This is a huge thing considering that Rocket’s Ultimate has lacked all sorts of health benefits since the start of the game (depending on whoever asks). Rocket’s healing orbs also reduce that area, but have a one-off healing effect on allied hits. But the bad news is that his jetpack dash escape has risen to a 10-second cooldown, with the range down from 10 meters to just 8 meters.
Meanwhile, the cloak and daggers got a big improvement in their ult. The first three healing zones of the ability that begin with Season 2 will remain active until the Force and Final Zones end, giving you a little more time to heal from your team.
So, while Marvel’s rival strategists have several buffs, it was a hit, especially with their incredible survivability against mobile dive characters. However, I would like to see how they shake along with all the other adjustments in Season 2, so I won’t blame these changes for being reversed yet.
