White House Border Patrol official Tom Homan said on January 29 that significant progress had been made during talks in Minneapolis, allowing for a reduction in federal personnel and “targeted enforcement operations” in the city.

At a news conference in Minneapolis, Homan said state and city officials have reached an agreement to award Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainees in prisons, allowing for reductions in federal staffing.
