A New York judge declared a misunderstanding on rape charges at Harvey Weinstein’s retrial after the ju judge said he didn’t want to go back to deliberation.

Judge Curtis Farber’s decision abruptly ended the retrial of the disgraced former Hollywood mogul on Thursday morning, particularly amid reports of cries and threats, among ju-degree judges who were about to reach unanimity on three charges.

The ry umpire failed to reach unanimity on Wednesday in 2013 with three rapes against Jessica Mann after giving a mixed verdict on the other two counts.

On that occasion, Judge Farber sent the ju apprentices home after finding Weinstein, 73. Project Runway Aide Miriam Haley acquitted him of another charge, including Polish model and actress Kaja Sokora.

Asked by Farber on Thursday morning if he was willing to continue deliberation of the ju apprentice, the ju apprentice said he was not. The judge dismissed the remaining ju apprentices and said they were disappointed and opposed Foreman’s explanation, according to the report.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said he wanted to try Weinstein again with a rape fee. Weinstein’s lawyer Arthur Adara said he would appeal his criminal conviction to the first degree. The lawyer will return to court on July 2nd to discuss the matter.

The charges against Haley and Mann formed the basis for a retrial after the New York Court of Appeals overturned Weinstein’s original conviction and 23 years’ sentence from 2020. The charges against Sokora were a new count.

Weinstein pleaded not guilty to all three counts. He was previously sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2023 following his conviction of Los Angeles rape.
