Mortgage Refinance Applications Soar Amid Falling Interest Rates

The U.S. mortgage market experienced significant activity last week as interest rates fell to their highest in a year’s low, according to new industry data.

The average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage for the week ending September 12th fell to 6.39%, down 10 basis points, the lowest level since October 2024.
