new trailer col 3a mysterious sci-fi project that has been teased recently. Escape from Tarkov Director Nikita Buyanov seems to confirm the theory that we’re getting a space FPS, but hasn’t answered any other questions about what that means. After a series of cryptic teasers were released in December, Battlestate Games’ COO reposted a link to a website featuring an interactive virtual computer terminal allegedly set in the year 2251. Now the video has given us the next piece of the puzzle.

If you want to catch up on the story so far, Jamie previously delved into the first hints of world-building provided by the site, with references to cryptocurrencies and NFTs appearing in Buyanov’s 2024 Cor3 logo trademark. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation about what this project actually is, or how closely related it actually is to Escape From Tarkov developer Battlestate. Today, the trailer below appeared as the countdown ended, shared by the Cor3 account, which Buyanov previously reposted.

The teaser begins with a first-person perspective of a person holding a “Kalash Corp” rifle. It’s a Tarkov-like setting, albeit a bit more futuristic. A broken sign nearby points to “Mariner City,” a kilometer away. The camera then pans out from the figure and pulls up into the sky, past a drone marked “Phasma” and gradually flies through the atmosphere and into space.

There we are greeted by a small spacecraft in flight and the floating bodies of several seemingly dead astronauts in spacesuits. The most prominent of them holds a pistol in one hand and holds up his middle finger to the planet with the other. His suit has a patch that reads “Bogatyr.bs First Navy Squad.” It’s not a big deal, but this is the closest connection to Tarkov so far, with the Bogatyr name being attached to BEAR’s special forces.

The video’s title, “PRJRPNT_BLUEMARS_FO,” is the only other real clue. This leads to the explanation of the “Adonis Plan” on the teaser site. There, Mars is discussed as a priority target for colonization in 2150, and mentions of a squad sent to terraform Mars to “provide a habitable ecosystem close to its former homeland.” “Escape from the solar system,” one user joked in the YouTube comments.

So are we really any closer to figuring out what Cor3 means, who’s actually working on it, when it’s coming, or whether there’s some form of cryptography involved? No. In the hour since the teaser was released, neither Buyanov nor Battlestate Games have mentioned what it will look like. In fact, Buyanov has not commented on the project since retweeting it in December. For now, the rumor mill will have to continue to thoroughly investigate this matter.
