With Matthias Ekholm and Loop Hintz back on their side, the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas stars could be boosted by the news of Game 4 injuries.

Will Mattias Ekholm play in Oilers vs Stars Game 4?

Matthias Ekholm has been consistently absent from the Edmonton Oilers in recent weeks, but has missed the entire Western Conference final playoff so far.

The Swedish NHL star was last seen when the Oilers played in just under two minutes on April 11, returning to the bystanders with a 4-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.

Worse, this look came after seven games absent, pushing back Ekholm’s recovery time. That’s why defenders have not been featured in a long time.

But Ekholm now reveals he’s approaching the Oilers’ return, suggesting he can feature in Game 4 against the Dallas star.

Ekholm said:I feel good, and I’m much better than I thought at this point. I feel really good, that’s what I can say at this point. I think it’s imminent, I think it’s at least soon, and whether it’s tomorrow or the next game, whatever it is.

“I’m happy with my body and I’m really excited about where the team is and how they play.”

The veteran hopes to return to full fitness from May 19th, and will practice and attend two opening games against the Dallas Star.

It is no mystery that Ekholm is an important player for the Oilers. With 33 points in 65 games in the 2025 season (9G + 24A), Oilers coach Chris Noblauch has given him a stance on whether the Swedes will soon return to the starting lineup.

The Oilers coach said:We are still undecided. He is still every day and does the best for our team and the best for him. When he’s healthy, we put him in that lineup because Ekholm is his player and what he can offer us. ”

Will Roope Printz be back from an injury in Oilers vs Stars Game 4?

Beyond the Dallas star injury situation, the NHL franchise is aiming to see the return of Roope Hintz, who missed Game 3 due to a lower body issue.

Before his absence, the Finnish player registered assists in two opening NHL playoff matches, and was an ever-present member of the Dallas side.

His injury occurred in a matchup with the Edmonton Oilers as Hintz was hit in the left foot by Oilers defensive man Darnell Nurse and was kicked out of the third term.

Hintz said: “I feel good. I’m trying to do everything I can play (in Game 4). Of course you want to go every night, but sometimes you can’t.

The Finnish NHL star is one of the best NHL playoff players in Dallas Star’s history, contributing 11 points (5G + 6A) in 15 games in Stanley Cup playoff matches, making the Finnish NHL star a big mistake.

Who will win the NHL Playoffs 2025?

The Oilers are about to become the Stanley Cup winner in six times and got off to a strong start with a 2-1 lead over the Dallas Star in the opening two games.

After Dallas won 6-3 at home in the opening matchup, the Oilers returned to the American Airlines Center and won Game 2 to Zero in Game 2. He then won Game 3 6-1 at Edmonton.

As for other NHL Conference Playoff Finals, the Florida Panthers are currently beating the Carolina Hurricane 3-1 after four games.

However, the Hurricanes are aiming to keep their tie alive in Game 4 by winning 3-0 at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, and complete a monumental comeback.
