Louverture film, producer behind Nickel Boys and Memorypartnering with French-based Cinewax film producer Jean A. Faur and Martinique-based US Caribbean (USC) media producer Erola Cadas to help bring you upcoming features, anime series, audio series Black Caesar’s Revenge.
Louverture Films funds the development of three Afro-Caribbeans Projects with one of the bigger commitments. There was no comment from the company at the time of writing.
Black Caesar’s Revenge Based The story is by author creator Saber about a group of 18th-century African pirates who were forced to take him to the high seas after being accused of African civilizations of Africa.
Originally from the Kingdom of Oyo (now Nigeria), the title character and his companions, who harness the devastating powers from the gods of Oritis, learn to navigate the realms of the sea and spirit of slave masters, legendary pirates, traitors, and ancestors.
Production is expected to begin with an audio series this fall while Louverture and his partners assemble the film adaptation.
The creatives currently on board include South African showrunners Amy Jeffta, Saber and writer-director Kensley Jour in conjunction with the composer of the Force de Frappe Edition.
Cinewax and USC Media oversaw early development of the project through the Kickstarter campaign.
