The Nigerian government said on December 26 that the recent ISIS attacks by the United States are part of broader efforts to ensure regional security, affirming cooperation with the United States and other foreign partners.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has confirmed that the Nigerian authorities continue to engage in systematic security cooperation with international partners, including the United States, to address the persistent threat of terrorism and violent extremism,” a ministry spokesperson said in a social media post.
