Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem visited Chicago on August 8th to draw attention to how the city responded to requests from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“In the past seven months, ICE has issued more than 1,664 detainees in Chicago alone. Unfortunately, Chicago and its leadership have only honored 8% of them,” she said at a press conference.
