I use A vpn On Linux, if you’re not familiar with your device, you always need to be a little careful. Fortunately, nordvpn changed it by rolling out desktop clients that can be used with the mouse, like Windows and MacOS. Very useful, but if you want to get nodes on your steam deck, don’t celebrate yet.

nordvpn is widely considered to be one of the best VPNs around it and is used regularly on Linux. Until now, we had to understand the complexities of Linux quite deeply, but this new client will greatly expand the field of how many people can use popular VPNs without Linux expertise.

The GUI (Graphical User Interface – a technical method called “mouse-driven”) version of nordvpn for Linux, announced on the NordVPN blog on May 12th, has the same functionality as the older version. Easy to use and easy to use, making it perfect for quick activation as a gaming VPN before launching your favorite title.

How to use Nordvpn on Linux

NordVPN desktop users click on the mouse to select a server to connect, but it was another story about Linux. Here, the CLI (command line interface, or “keyboard driven”) is provided via the terminal session utility. This is like a Windows PowerShell and MacOS port.

When you connect to nordvpn on Linux, you can open a terminal app and enter commands. This usually looks like “nordvpn c” and connects to the fastest nearest server, but you can specify a server for your country or city.

It’s not that difficult to use (status area shortcuts are available), but it’s not user-friendly. Also, selecting a specific server takes time. This is where the new NordVPN Linux app actually improves things.

Get the nordvpn app on your Linux desktop

Whether you are already using the CLI version of nordvpn on Linux, the NordVPN-GUI app can be installed with a single terminal command.

sh <(wget -qo - https://downloads.nordcdn.com/apps/linux/install.sh)-p nordvpn -gui

You will then need to enter your password to confirm the installation. Once the installation is complete, you need to make sure the NordVPN app is available in the app list.

Linux apps are very similar to other NordVPN apps on Windows, MacOS, Android and iPhone. It offers everything you need from a VPN, including a list of servers, quick access to specialized servers (like P2P), kill switches, and the ability to select protocols.

However, this only runs on Linux desktops, so it doesn’t run on Steam decks. However, Nordvpn expresses its desire to improve based on user feedback, so you may see it running on steam decks for a long time.
