Oaktree Capital buys FilmRise, merges it with Shout! Studios to launch Radial Entertainment

We Alternative Investments Oaktree Capital Management has acquired US distributor FilmRise and merged with Shout! A studio that forms the global distribution platform radial entertainment.

Shout! CEO and co-founder of Garson Foos! Studios will become CEO of Radial Entertainment and Danny Fisher, CEO and co-founder of FilmRise, will become executive chairman.

New York-based Filmrise was founded in 2012 and operates the FilmRise streaming network, a fast channel and ad-supported streaming apps. Included in that feature credit I’ll train to Busan, Barney, Manifestoand My friend Dahmer.

Oaktree originally invested in Shout! In 2023, we are considering growing our content portfolio by acquiring studios and entertainment companies and libraries.

Foos said: “We are excited to thrive in this new organization and work with the Filmrise team to take the combined business to the next level.”
