The Edmonton Oilers have been able to make it to the Stanley Cup final for the second year in a row, looking comfortably in the series with the Dallas Star.

At this year’s conference finals, there was no doubt about the Edmonton Oilers’ advantage over the Dallas Stars. On Thursday night, they managed to close the series.

It only took the Oilers five games to advance to the Stanley Cup final. On Thursday, the team managed to score six goals past the second star in the postseason.

There was no competition in the matchup as the Oilers won four wins and a 20-5 tally score after losing Game 1 on the Dallas Road.

All six goals were shared among the teams that Jeff Skinner, Corey Perry, Kasperi Kapanen, Ivander Kane, Matthias Janmark and of course, the reliable Conor McDavid were on the scoresheet.

Stanley Cup Final Rematch

He is an old rival to the Florida Panthers that he will meet the Edmonton Oilers in this year’s Stanley Cup final, and of course this is not the first time his team has faced off on the biggest stage of the NHL.

This year’s Stanley Cup final is a rematch of the 2024 series, and the Oilers are seeking revenge to prevent the Panthers from returning.

Last year’s Stanley Cup was a thriller that was no different to anything else, and it was impossible to call out who wins from start to finish and from the last game, and the series went all the way to seven games.

The Panthers took a 3-1 lead, but the Oilers managed to return to 3-3 before a dramatic game seven. The Panthers managed to win 2-1.

Only eight NHL teams have secured consecutive Stanley Cups, and the Panthers want to be the fourth franchise to achieve feats in the last 30 years.

The 2025 rematch was the second final Stanley Cup rematch of the past 40 years, and only the 11th in league history.

There are no complaints at break before this year’s final playoff series, as Florida closed its series against the Carolina hurricanes in just five games.

It’s not too long to wait for NHL fans before Stanley Cup Final. Game 1 will start on Wednesday, June 4th.

In this year’s Revenge Mission, the Edmonton Oilers have a slight advantage as they play Game 1 from home and take place in Edmonton as the series progresses to Game 7.
