Palantir Technologies has thoroughly denied claims they are building a large, unified database of American personal information following media reports implying that work from various federal agencies could enable unprecedented surveillance.

On May 30, The New York Times published an article highlighting the potential impact of the more than $900 million federal contracts awarded to Denver-based technology companies since the start of the Trump administration. This article, combined with Palantir’s work and a new executive order on data sharing between federal agencies, cited critics who allow for the weaponization of data against Americans.
