As a hopeless Treadore fanatic, I was pretty encouraged when Paradox revealed that both the charming roses and their shadowy cousins were trapped behind the pay Bloodline 2 DLC. Shadow and Silk were initially costing separately at $21.99 and were included as part of the game’s premium pre-order version, but in response to the wave of backlash, the paradox confirmed that it was “adjusting” its paywall. I’m not sure what that entails yet, but the new post confirms that they get the update and state that they are issuing refunds to those who purchase the premium edition on the PlayStation Store.
Paradox and the Chinese room say they have made “significant changes” with “many moving parts.” It was confirmed in both Bloodlines 2 and World of Darkness discrepancies by community developer Debbie ‘Debbieella’ Lane. A full update on this change will be made on September 17th.
“We are working hard on the arrangements we have promised, and we can provide all the details on September 17th. There will be a lot of moving parts to make such important changes.
She also states that Paradox is issuing refunds to PlayStation customers who purchased the game’s premium edition, and that the rewards will be rolled out starting Monday, September 8th.
“Anyone who pre-orders a Premium Edition through the PlayStation Store will contact the Premium Edition for a refund starting Monday, September 8th. You can re-order a copy of the Premium Edition before its release on October 21st.
As mentioned in my Bloodlines 2 preview, both clans were absolute explosions to play, and the fact that they were initially trapped behind the paywall gave me a slight sigh, especially given the popularity of Treadore. The ideal world will reveal that both clans are included in the base roster from launch, but you will need to see what will happen on September 17th.
