The New England Patriots have rejected multiple offers for the second round draft pick that will be used to select a running back for Trevion Henderson from Ohio State.

It was revealed in the first episode of “Forged in Foxborough” (a YouTube series that recorded unprecedented visits to the team).

The Chicago Bears were interested and offered the Houston Texans with picks 39 and the seventh round, and the third round of picks 58, 79 and 2025 at the table.

The Patriots were clearly high in Henderson, shifting from their position, rejecting both approaches, and not intending to draft the 22-year-old.

I’m happy to hear that New England has never made the ball a funder when it was in Ohio.

Henderson, who won a new victory from a national championship victory against the Buckeyes, played in all 16 games during his final college season. He rushed for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior, scoring 284 receiving yards and touchdowns.

It all shared Carrie in the backfield with fellow rising star Quinshon Judkins.

Five of his 11 total touchdowns last season were postseason, with two each in his first round victory at Tennessee and two in a Rose Bowl victory against Oregon, along with receiving a touchdown in a successful Cotton Bowl in Texas.

Henderson won national honors as a freshman in 2021, leading Ohio State with rushing yards (1,248) and rushing touchdowns (15) and emerged as an impressive double threat with 312 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

He led the Big Ten (6.8) per carry that year, and despite missing some time with injuries as a sophomore and junior, Henderson rushed to lead the Buckeyes in 2023, making the first team’s all-big 10.
