The following year, the band recorded “Glass Onion,” which included the lyrics “The Walrus was Paul.” Lennon was about making people even more confused.

The 105-minute Gaumont presentation includes a video message from McCartney, and Wirral’s hero is based on the late Lennon, he said. “Whenever you asked him anything, he would always get a quick, squeal answer,” McCartney said.

McCartney said that Sugartaire, another animal character in the film, was inspired by his late wife, Linda McCartney. “I first came up with this idea after the death of my child’s mom, Linda. I knew everyone was missing her, so if I could bring her back to the movie, it would be very good for them,” McCartney said. “Sugartaire is like Linda. She’s strong and resourceful.”
