PBS Sues Trump Administration Over Funding Cuts

The president recently ordered funding cuts to PBS and NPR.

On May 30, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) sued President Donald Trump and several federal departments, suing executive orders directing public servants to cut funds to PBS and National Public Radio (NPR).

“Our constitution and law prohibits us from serving as president as an arbitrator of PBS programming content, including attempts to refund PBS,” the lawsuit filed in federal court in Washington.
