Visibly emotional and frustrating, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro condemned an arson attack on his home last night while he and his family were sleeping. No victims have been reported.
“This kind of violence is becoming too common in our society, and if it comes from a certain aspect or is directed towards one particular party or another, I don’t care,” Shapiro said at a press conference. Posted on x. “We have to stop. The person’s specific motivations are not yet known. This type of violence is not okay and must be stopped. We need to be better than this. ”
State police investigators also said they were unaware of the motive for the attack, but court documents said the suspect admitted that he disliked the Democratic governor and was doing to beat him with a hammer.

First, Corey Ballmer, 38, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, avoided details of the state police protecting the governor’s mansion. We are currently investigating how he was not detected. He then said he returned to his arrested home several hours after the attack.

Former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiger called the attack “a despicable act of coronavirus.” He also called on the Pennsylvanians to join him and his wife to pray for Shapiros.
