The UK’s capital transport authorities said several lines on the London Underground network were halted or destroyed on Monday afternoon due to power outages.

Transportation on the London website showed that at least three metro lines were suspended due to power outages, and at least six other lines had severe delays and partial outages during afternoon rush hour.

The Transportation Department said it is working with the National Grid to determine the cause of the outage.

“Some lines lost power early this afternoon due to a brief interruption of power to our network,” TFL’s Chief Operating Officer Claire Mann said in a statement.

“We’re working to get the entire network back up as quickly as possible.”

National Grid said there was a “failure” in central London’s power transmission network, which was “resolved within seconds.”

Previously, a London spokesperson’s transport told PA News Agency that it had stopped for a few minutes and a few minutes that caused disruption to the metro network.

British media reported that many stations in central London have been completely closed.

Last month, a power outage caused by a fire in West London electric engines forced Heathrow Airport to close for almost a day, disrupting thousands of flights.
